Stay-at-Home Order Issued for Durham

As things continue to change both globally and locally, we wanted to give you an important update. Mayor Steve Schewel issued a stay-at-home order for the city of Durham effective Thursday, March 26th at 6 pm until April 30th. We are learning as we go through this with you. We are keeping apprised of these updates, and as the mayor said, they will be reviewed and revised as needed, so we at Carpe Diem Cleaning will also be reviewing and revising our schedule in the days ahead. We are all getting used to adapting to changes, aren’t we?

If you have a scheduled cleaning in the upcoming days, we will be contacting you. Of course, you are welcome to schedule a full Deep Spring Cleaning in the future, when people go back to their “normal lives.”

Residential cleaning companies are considered essential especially during this particular crisis, so we are providing necessary services to those who are mandated to stay at home and those homes of the people who are providing critical care. The Center for Disease Control has outlined the ways that the Coronavirus can be limited in its survival on surfaces in your home. We continue to monitor and make changes to meet these disinfecting standards.

We have 26 years in the residential cleaning business, access to disinfectant supplies that are recommended by the CDC, teams of women who have been trained in systems of cleaning and are taking every precaution necessary to provide care to you and your family.

We are looking at this crisis from every side. We are monitoring and implementing all of the employee benefits options and are giving the women who are on our team all the information and options that are available to them as not working impacts their family. We are checking in with them daily.

Most importantly, there are things that you can be doing in between your scheduled cleanings.

Wipe down all of the “touchpoints” in your home. This includes but is not limited to faucets, doorknobs, remote controls, light switches, toilets, sinks, and desks. Wash your hand linens frequently.
